Welcome to The People for People Foundation

The People for People Foundation of Gloucester County has unveiled their unique “Hands Across the County” web site/data base program that will provide help providers and agencies, both traditional and non-traditional throughout Gloucester County, the means to better communicate with each other, share information, and pool resources and expertise, allowing them to work more effectively as a team to provide a “Safety Net” for the normally self sufficient seeking help. The Hands Across the County Program will provide easier access to services by providing a tool that multiple help providers in the county can use to share information and to better communicate with each other resulting in providing better service to those seeking help.

The Hands Across the County Program will allow a large diverse group of help providers to communicate with each other through a central web site hub and share information through email blasts, blogs, an announcement board, and other means. These sources will range from government agencies and large charities, to non-traditional sources such as service and fraternal clubs, veteran groups, police and fire departments, faith based organizations, youth groups, and grassroots community based organizations.

On  February 24th 2010 People for People held the first quarterly “Conference” of this very diverse group. At these meetings multiple help providers will be able to do a presentation about their group’s programs and services and answer questions from other help providers. These meetings will be by invitation only and not open to the public. Future “Conferences” will feature workshops on fundraising, social network marketing, web site design for non profits, seeking volunteers and subsidized employees, and other important topics.
