Heart of Gloucester County

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Pascale Sykes Foundation for not only their financial support, but also for their faith in allowing the People for People Foundation of Gloucester County to be the lead agency for the “HEART OF GLOUCESTER COUNTY ” initiative. Heart of Gloucester County is a collaborative of local non-profits working together as a team, to provide services that encourage and strengthen two adult caregiver families and to help struggling families on the path to building self sufficiency.

The agency partners that make up “Heart of Gloucester County” in addition to People for People are:

• The Center for Family Services

• The Clayton School District

• Community Service Corps of Gloucester County

• EIRC – Education Information Resource Center

• Center for People in Transition

• UOSS

• And the Volunteer Center of Gloucester County

Together this impressive team along with other help providers, both traditional and non-traditional will provide:

Personal guidance and coordination between help providers and those seeking help. Those in need will be able to enter Heart of Gloucester County through member Help Providers, walk in resource centers, dedicated phone lines, a special web based chat line, Life Skills Education programs, and the Heart of Gloucester County website.

Heart of Gloucester County will be the communications hub for a wide range of community agencies, charities, and help providers in the county. It will also be a link and resource center for the community and those seeking help, guidance, referrals, holistic family strengthening, and a friendly ear to listen to their needs and help to them navigate through the maze of the Gloucester County Help Provider Community.
